Since the 10th Century the Cuerda Seca or Malibu tile technique has been the same; ceramic based water resist hand drawn or stenciled over fired bisque, The artisan then proceeds to fill each section with a particular colored glaze.
With todays technology, glazes can come in any color, with satin matt or gloss finish. Any design is possible in this technique, from single pieces that module with each other to complex murals in any size.
